In 2006, Selina Robinson received a previous diagnosis of a “rare kind of intestinal cancer.”

She is receiving treatment, according to the minister of higher education for British Columbia, after a scan revealed her cancer had come back.

According to Selina Robinson, she learned the news on January 27.

Although Robinson, who was last month’s finance minister replacement, claims to be “assured” that everything will be alright, she admits that telling her father and kids that she has cancer once more was difficult.

“The topic of my future in this location might be brought up by some persons. I am not going anywhere,” Robinson said in her speech.

In an earlier social media post, Robinson said that she had been diagnosed with a “rare form of intestinal cancer” in 2006.

Coquitlam-representative Maillardville’s to the legislature said she is getting a “first-line” treatment and has five more alternatives if it doesn’t work.

Robinson said during her address that the reason she was brought to the house was due of research being done to find new cancer cures. She invited lawmakers to join her in the Tour de Cure cycling campaign.
