Drivers are recommended that Highway 99 at the Steveston Interchange will be closed overnight Sunday, May 28, 2023, to allow teams to safely move heavy machinery across the highway for the new five-lane Steveston Interchange project.

The full highway closure will happen between 11 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. The highway will fully re-open by 5 a.m. to drivers Monday, May 29.

During the freeway closure, traffic will be detoured over the existing on- and off-ramps. Short-term traffic go-slows on the ramps may also be required during the work. Access for emergency responders, inhabitants and businesses will be maintained throughout this work.

Drivers can expect slight delays and are asked to use caution through the detour.
