Coloured powder will fly for a decent cause in CN Centre’s parking lot on May 28.

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society’s fifth yearly Hospice Color Walk returns to the city on May 28.

The free, colorful celebration will be happening at the CN Centre parking lot, from 10 a.m. to noon.

“Together, with our passionate participants and our community, we’ll embark on a designated route within the parking lot, surrounded by an enthralling whirlwind of color,” a statement released by the society on Friday said. “Our best ‘Color Sponsor Teams’ will be throwing colored powder, transforming the atmosphere into a display of joy!”

Participants are encouraged to wear a white T-shirt to get the full colorful effect, along with sunglasses to secure their eyes from the powder. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome.

The Central BC Railway and Forestry Museum’s mini-train will be on-site offering rides.

The event is free, but the society will be getting contributions to support construction of an accessible outdoor space for guests and families at Rotary Hospice House.

“Let’s come together as a community, create cherished memories, and hold the sheer exhilaration of life in vibrant Technicolor,” the society statement said.
