Daniel Jordan Dale faces counts of utilizing and having fake currency from Fort St. James investigation

A man now faces charges in connection with a seizure of a “huge amount” of allegedly fake cash from a Fort St. James home.

Counts of uttering or using fake currency and possessing fake currency have been approved against Daniel Jordan Daley, born in 1992, according to court records.

The step is in relation to an August 2022 inquiry that RCMP said began when a business in the town of 1,900 people 150 kilometres west of Prince George notified them to a finding of suspected funny money.

With the help of investigation video, police said some suspects were identified and traced to a home. The cash was seized when a search warrant was following executed.

Daley has an illegal record, mostly for gun-related offences committed in Fort St. James. He is scheduled to make a first appearance on the matter at the end of next month.
