School District 57 may have a resolution to the district’s bussing woes.

SD 57 declared today that starting in January, Diversified Transportation will be offering transportation services for a number of previously underserviced routes.

“The District escalates that both providers were keen to work with us to design a solution that puts students first, and make sure that students are transported to and securely home from school each day,” said Assistant Superintendent Lee Karpenko in an announcement.

The district will be examined by both First Student and Differentiated Transportation until June 2024.

Regular information will endure to be accessible on District websites, and both providers will be contacting bussing students and families related to stop sites as well as pickup and drop off times.

SD 57 declared in June the bus deal was awarded to First Student.
